Congratulation to Elise Perez and David Gardner, Service Learning Academy teachers who were married in Puerto Rico on November 17, 2007! Mr. Gardner teaches environmental science and zoology and Mrs. Gardner teaches American Sign Language.
The couple first started dating at the Florida Learn and Serve Conference in Tampa in 2005. Students and teachers from the Timber Creek High School Academy were participants and presenters at the Tampa Conference. Mr. Gardner and Ms. Perez made a connection at the conference and have been together ever since.
