Kaley Wyker Honored by Bank of America

November 2008

Service Learning Academy President, Kaley Wyker was chosen last year as one of five Orange County Public School students to receive a service internship and leadership training for a week in Washington, DC.  On November 17th Kaley was honored at a very beautiful awards ceremony at the Orlando Museum of Art.  Supporting Kaley were Timber Creek teachers Bob Carden and Wendy Doromal; friends Mary Barahona and Andrew Boulier, and her mother, brother, grandmother and other family members.

Kaley made a very inspiring speech about her experience at the Bithlo Boys and Girls Club where she worked this summer with young children. She also spoke about the leadership conference in Washington DC where Bank of America hosted 200 of our nations top youth leaders.
